Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, created by county voters in 1986, is governed by a 10-member board.
Five members are appointed by the governor and five are appointed by the virtue of their position with other organizations in the community.
We are funded with property taxes, and we use that money to support more than 60 programs and services for children and their families across Palm Beach County.
Our board meets monthly (with a few exceptions) to review policies and procedures, monitor program outcomes and approve budget requests and changes. Each September, the board approves a new millage (tax) rate and new operating budget.
