Biography

Dennis Miles is the southeast regional managing director for the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) since 2012. The Southeast Region covers Palm Beach and Broward counties in addition to Okeechobee, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties. He joined DCF as a child protective investigator and served as a supervisor, program administrator, director of support services and director of Family and Community Services. Mr. Miles served 13 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, leaving with the rank of Captain-select and Company Commander in the 3rd Assault Amphibious Battalion. Previously, he worked at the Palm Beach County Tax Collector’s office and in the financial services industry. He graduated from the University of Florida.
